Q: What should I do before I attend LANFest?

A: Here is a list:

• Run a good virus scanner (full scan) and other nepharious code searching programs
• Turn on your firewall so other computers don't infect you ;)
• Pre-Download any Steam games
• Install relavent games and configure your settings

Q: What should I bring?

A: Here is a list:

• Headset (with Mic preferably)

• Chair (Optional - we provide basic folding chairs)

Q: Will there be a case mod contest?

A: CPU Magazine is unfortuneatly no longer in existance but we still may do a local one.

Q: Can I pitch a tent in the building?

A: No, you may not pitch a tent in the building but you can bring an air matress and set it up in our designated sleeping room. You cannot put a sleeping mattress in the main room due to safety reasons.

Q: When will the doors open?

A: Plan is for 9AM on Friday

Q: What is the minor policy?

A: If you are under 16, you have to have a chaperone (the one listed on the waiver) at ALL times. If you are 16 or 17, you just need the waiver signed by your parent or guardian - until 10PM, then you either need to be accompanied or have other plans to be offsite. If you are 18, we don't care ;)

Q: Can I buy more than 1 ticket?

A: Yes! You can buy as many tickets as you want. However, you will only get 1 ticket for the prize give-a-way no matter how many seats you buy.

Q: What will get me kicked out?

A: The following are rules to follow:

• No alcohol or other drug use on-site (we will defer to the Ranch policies for this one).
• No use of pornography, trading pornography or having it up on your screens. We have minors at the event and they should be able to walk around without seeing this.
• No cheating
• No fighting
• *No knifing BigJ - he's getting older so we need to add this now
• Basically come and have fun, the admins reserve the right to boot anyone for anything they deem out of line but we have not had to do this in the past so lets have a great event!

Q: Can I bring food and drink?

A: Yes, you can bring food, just no alcohol.

Q: When is the refund cut off?

A: 2 weeks before the event. This allows us to find someone else to take your seat in time. After 2 weeks, please let us know if you won't make it and if we can find someone to take your seat, we may be able to process the refund.

Q: Will there be seats sold at the door?

A: It depends if we are sold out. If we are not sold out they will be $50/seat

Q: How many 120v outlets can I use?

A: 2, you only get 2 :) and you get 4-4.5 Amps only

Q: Can I smoke Marijuana at the event? (it is Colorado after all)

A: No, the event has a no smoking policy in their buildings and CO has a no smoking MJ in public. Keep in mind there is a Sheriff on duty at the event site...
