Michael Eaves

Michael Eaves studied Material Science and Engineering at the University of Tennessee before beginning his journey with LANFest. He first joined as a volunteer supporting the FortLAN chapter, where he assisted with event operations and community engagement. His dedication and attention to detail quickly led him to a national role supporting sponsorship and partnership efforts.

During his time on the sponsorship team, Michael helped secure brand partnerships with companies such as Lexar, Thermaltake, and CLX. His strong organizational skills and ability to build meaningful relationships allowed him to contribute directly to the growth and visibility of LANFest programs across the country.

Michael later transitioned from sponsorship to logistics, where he discovered a passion for building systems that support both chapter events and large national activations. He now oversees all logistics for LANFest, managing equipment needs such as prizing, monitors, laptops, and Hero Seat PCs for chapters, as well as coordinating national logistics for major events including PAX and San Diego Comic-Con. His role requires precise planning, cost management, and reliable execution to ensure every event has the resources it needs.

Through his work, Michael has helped chapters access equipment and support that would have previously been out of reach.

His commitment to finding cost effective solutions and building efficient logistics strategies has allowed LANFest to expand its impact while maintaining affordability for volunteers and communities. He continues to strengthen LANFest’s operations with a focus on reliability, sustainability, and supporting the mission of building healthy communities through gaming.
