Who is LANFest?

LANFest is a 501(c)3 non-profit Organization that focuses on Building Healthy Communities through Gaming! We have been around for 23 years providing safe places for gamers to setup LANs and game together across the country, with 20+ chapter and over 170 events Nationwide raising funds for a variety of charities every year.

How is fundraising being done for this event?

DonorDrive is our fundraising platform and we already have set up a campaign for this entire activation.

If you selected a 501(c)3 charity other than LANFest, we will disburse your funding post event to your selected charity, along with milestones!
How would we show we are supporting what charity?

We recommend that you mention the charity you are supporting in social posts, on your DonorDrive fundraising page, in your streams, and anywhere else where your audience will be. Signing up and sharing your DonorDrive Campaign is a solid foundation to get the word out early!
What audience am I engaging with? Where am I Streaming?

Your stream! Your community!! We wanted it to be as comfortable as possible so that you can stream your games with your fans/friends. However, networking with your other creators at the Stream Zone could lead to some collaboration and raids to each other throughout the event.
What content do you allow streamed?
What is not allowed for a LANFest charity stream?

Sexually explicit and/or hateful content will not be allowed at the LANFest Charity Stream Zone.
Other than that, there are no specific restrictions outside of the terms of service of the platform(s) each creator will be streaming to.

Do keep in mind that other charities you are raising funds for may have more guidelines that apply to you when representing them.
Who else is streaming?
Do we need to bring our own streaming equipment?
No, you do not need to bring any streaming equipment.

Each station will have the following:

Zotac MEK Hero PC

RTX 4070 or better

2 24″ ViewSonic Monitors

1 27″ ViewSonic Monitor for Public Viewing

Canon Camera (Model TBD)

Razer Seiren v3 Chroma Microphone

Razer Peripherals (Keyboard, Mouse, Headset)

Elgato Streamdeck

HDMI Capture Card available upon request

Can I bring my own gear custom mixer, headsets/mice/keyboard (USB based)

We are working with our sponsors to provide the computers, monitors, and peripherals so that you don’t have to lug around any equipment.

What Streaming programs can I use?

We will provide OBS + Streamlabs on the PC’s so you can load in your own information. A few preloaded event graphics for you to use if you don’t have a usb drive of your own assets on hand. We want to make sure you have something to spotlight your stream to your community!

If you need guidance on how to download your Profile / Scene collection to bring with for OBS – EPOSVox has a great guide on Youtube on how to backup/save/move your OBS information.
What games will be available on the stream PCs for use during the event?

There is no set list of games available on the PC’s at this moment. We are collecting recommendations to see what we can pre-install before the event. You will be able to sign into any of your accounts and download games that are not already on the PC’s. Just be mindful that downloading something large may eat into your stream time.
