Sam Patrick McMullen V currently serves as the President of GEEX.GG INC, where he drives key innovation and growth strategies that have increased adoption of the GEEX platform in scholastic, high school, and collegiate esports by over 250%, even amidst the uncertainty created by COVID-19. He excels at creating and fostering partnerships and relationships both within and beyond his areas of expertise to deliver mutual value for all parties involved. Sam has contributed to the adoption of stereoscopic 3D immersive gaming technologies and has bridged defense smart HMD applications to the private sector in serious gaming, simulation, linguistic, and entertainment applications. He has collaborated with brilliant minds to author papers, posters, patents, and articles that have received global recognition. These collaborations have elevated his colleagues’ clout, confidence, and achievements while enhancing his own experience. As a founding member of the Nevada eSports Alliance (NVEA), Sam also serves on the Technical Advisory Committee for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas – International Gaming Institute and BlackFire Incubator. He continues to serve on several current and former company advisory boards, including LifeKind Inc. (formerly Rival Theory Inc.), an AI persona innovator creating advanced cognitive and empathic AI technology to drive the world’s most believable AI characters. In addition, Sam is a founding board member of PCE Nevada, a non-profit focused on hosting TEDx and other events and programs that elevate local culture, art, design, and technological innovation while promoting humanities education in Southern Nevada. He continues to contribute to FiveGen, LLC, his original company. FiveGen is a technology strategy and solutions company specializing in accelerating unique ideas, prototyping innovative solutions, and mentoring startup companies focused on enhancing the human experience. At FiveGen, the team aims to “make play matter” by evolving how people play. By combining futurist thinking, innovation, collaboration, and compassion, Sam strives to improve and enhance experiences by understanding how people use and engage with technology. He lives in the future and builds in the present, always looking past the horizon to fast-forward, foster, and forge the future by creating a seamless and magical connection between technology and human experience.
