LAN all NIGHT Dallas Donates More than 600 Food Items to North Texas Food Bank Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

LAN All NIGHT Gaming Festival recently donated more than 600 food items to the North Texas Food Bank that they collected at their inaugural event in Grapevine, Texas.

The event’s primary attraction is the Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) section where gamers bring their computer to participate in 50+ hours of non-stop gaming and charity. There were tournaments, raffles, contests, a large free play area and a board game zone.

The event was held before social distancing recommendations were made due to the covid-19 outbreak.

“We’re so glad we decided to host a food drive,” said Steven Offield, LAN All NIGHT Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. “There are so many families out there that will be in need of these essential items during this time.”

A blood drive was also hosted at the event benefiting Carter BloodCare. Blood donations are still in need at this time.

“During the Coronavirus pandemic, blood is still needed for cancer patients, transplant recipients, heart surgery and trauma patients,” said Kyle Russell, LAN All NIGHT Chief Power & Cooling Infrastructure Officer. “Carter BloodCare recently made a plea for 700 donations of blood and we’re proud of our attendees for providing more than 20 of those.
