Gamers Outreach recognizes the following organizations for their support of Gamers for Giving 2013. Thanks to their support / contributions, all event entry fees and public donations will be used to directly fund Gamers Outreach initiatives in 2013.
 


Eastern Michigan University is one of the academic leaders of the Midwest, serving 23,000 students from the state of Michigan who are currently pursuing undergraduate, graduate, specialist, doctoral and certificate degrees. In all, more than 200 majors, minors and concentrations are delivered through the University's Colleges of Arts and Sciences; Business; Education; Health and Human Services; Technology, and its graduate school. Eastern Michigan University is regularly recognized by national publications for its excellence, diversity, and commitment to applied education.

The Eastern Michigan University Student Government is working alongside Gamers Outreach to produce Gamers for Giving 2013, rallying the community behind the efforts of its students, and aiding us to create an incredible experience for this year's attendees!

The Intel LANFest series is a nation-wide BYOC (bring your own computer) LAN organization that features gaming tournaments and activities intended to entertain both casual and hardcore gamers. Ticket proceeds are donated to local charities. To date, LANFest has raised over $450,000.00 dollars for charity organizations. Gamers for Giving 2013 will play host to Michigan's first ever LANFest event, and all ticket sales will fund Gamers Outreach initiatives in 2013.

Kona's Korner Productions is an interactive broadcasting company that specializes in delivering content from live events across the video game industry. With a reputation for delivering quality productions alongside some of the biggest names in the gaming scene, Kona's Korner Productions has quickly become one of the premier choices for content delivery amongst event organizers. The Halo Council is the premier online destination for the latest Halo news, community discussions, and insights from game industry personalities. A home for both competitive and casual players, The Halo Council offers daily content and exclusive features on all things Halo related. Sean Farrell, perhaps more popularly known within the creative community as "Brandclay," is an Ann Arbor based graphic designer with a taste for simplicity, beautiful fonts, and ice cream. Formerly a competitive gamer himself, Sean has been volunteering his time to help support Gamers Outreach projects since 2009. From website designs to flyers, Sean has generously provided creative assets and resources to support Gamers for Giving year after year. In his professional life, Sean not only works on freelance projects through Brandclay, but also leads creative work for Dashing Dish (a recipe blog started by his wife, Katie) and Fixel (a creative design agency). His specialties include logo design, branding / identity, web design, and user interface work. Arguably, he's also the most skilled Halo Zombies player on Xbox LIVE. Seriously, the guy's obsessed with the gametype. It's a sight to behold.

343 Industries is a branch of Microsoft Game Studios overseeing the development and production of the Halo franchise. Through its website, HaloWaypoint.com, 343 Industries also provides regular content and resources for the Halo community at large.

343 Industries has been a supporter of Gamers Outreach since 2010. From providing donated software, to alloting space at industry events such as Halo Fest, the company has worked to support the initiatives of Gamers Outreach, and will once again be supporting our annual fundraising event, Gamers for Giving, in 2013!

 

Treyarch is a video game development company based in Santa Monica, California. As part of Activision, Treyarch is one of the world's most influential and successful game development companies in the world. It's latest title, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, holds the record for the largest entertainment launch in history. Sales from the game worldwide reached $650 million dollars within five days after its release.
 
Treyarch has been kind enough to supply Gamers Outreach with copies of Black Ops 2 in support of our upcoming tournament at Gamers for Giving. Thanks to their support, Gamers Outreach will be able to host a full day's worth of Black Ops 2 completive activities. Gamers Outreach Foundation has worked in partnership with Best Buy Ann Arbor to host an array of midnight launch events for the video game industry's most anticipated releases. In addition to providing promotional support, Best Buy has worked to support Gamers Outreach initiatives through its community outreach programs, including the Best Buy TAG Team award, which supports nonprofit organizations through employee volunteer opportunities and grant funding.

The Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA) is a non-profit membership organization that represents consumers of interactive entertainment in the US and Canada. The association was founded to give gamers a collective voice to communicate concerns to the video game industry at large, and participate in advocacy efforts. The ECA is committed to a host of public policy efforts, empowering and enabling its membership to effect change. The organization also provides members with substantial benefits, including discounts on games-related purchases and rentals, as well as opportunities to participate in community and educational intiatives.

Beyond Gaming is the premier play-for-prizes service. The website gamifies games by engaging a large and fiercely loyal community of active players, who compete for valuable prizes and social rewards. Beyond Gaming features all the top PC, Xbox, and PS3 games, and conducts a number of their activities in association with leading video game brands, software companies, and celebrities.

Eastern Michigan's own Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) will be working alongside Gamers Outreach to provide logistical support for Gamers for Giving 2013 activities. The Army ROTC program offers Eastern Michigan students with the opportunity to train for service positions within the U.S. military while simultaneously earning a college degree. Eastern Michigan University ROTC cadets graduate with skills in leadership that meet the Army's requirements for officer positions within the Regular Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve.
